Television Shows Worth Buying on DVD/Bluray
Not only are these television shows quality entertainment that deserve the re-watch, but they have box-sets that are worth owning in this era of television that is defined by streaming.
Breaking Bad
(Rated: TV-MA)
Breaking Bad is generally considered one of the best shows ever aired, and those who say this are not wrong. Although it is clearly worth physically owning for the simple fact that it is such a great, iconic show, the DVD boxsets themselves do not disappoint. They are absolutely packed with all kinds of bonus features that will keep you entertained for hours. You rarely see such a serious drama program have gag reels included in their bonus content, but all seasons except season 1 have one, and they are delightfully funny due to the how many comedy actors are featured on this show. Other standouts are the amount of cast and crew commentaries included in each season (with commentaries on all episodes in seasons 4 and 5!), and “Inside Breaking Bad” clips for each episode that give behind-the-scenes details and interviews which are great to watch after completing each episode.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
(Rated: TV-14)
Although missing a few bonus feature staples such as deleted scenes and gag reels for most of the seasons, the Buffy DVDs and Blurays make up for it with plenty of interesting behind the scenes content. The discs are packed with commentaries from the crew and the cast for key episodes, as well as the extra benefit of the scripts of many episodes, something that is much more uncommon for bonus features. The featurettes and cast and crew interviews are also a great addition.

Community
(Rated: PG-13)
This is definitely one of the box sets on this list that will give you the most bang for your buck. Not only is the show wildly entertaining, but the sheer amount of bonus features make it worth the purchase over only streaming it. The biggest draw is that, other than the sixth season, every episode of each season has a corresponding cast and crew commentary. Each of these commentaries have at least one cast member speaking, but the majority of them have multiple. They offer a lot of humorous commentary as well as interesting anecdotes about how episodes were made and behind-the-scenes stories. Beyond that, they also tend to have gag reels/outtakes on each disc which are rather extensive, deleted scenes, and various featurettes and bonuses that correspond to the events of the respective seasons. All in all, with these box sets, the customers get bonus content that exceeds the length of the actual season itself, making it worth the buy for anyone who loves the show or is interested in some grade A comedy!

The Office
(Rated: TV-14)
If you love The Office as much as we do, these DVDs are a must. Every season has a solid amount of bonus features of different categories. Practically every season includes multiple cast and crew commentaries that are very entertaining, and the gag reels included in every season except season 1 are lengthy and absolutely hilarious. Another standout is the amount of deleted scenes, which sometimes even includes complete storylines that have gotten cut, which can be very interesting and fun to see. The complete series boxset is also very reasonably priced, making it a worthy purchase for anyone who loves comedy.

The Walking Dead
(Rated: TV-14)
If you love The Walking Dead, these box-sets are definitely worth it to own, and not only for rewatching! The box-sets are jam-packed with interesting bonus content that amplify the viewing experience. Every season includes the “Inside The Walking Dead” featurettes, which are approximately 5 minute long clips for each episode that give a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the episode as well as insights into the storyline from cast and crew member interviews. These featurettes are great to watch after you complete each episode. Not only that, but the box-sets always include multiple featurettes related to the season, deleted or alternate scenes, and multiple commentaries from both the cast and the crew. Individually, the DVD/Blurays are more on the expensive side (especially newly released seasons), but they are a great addition for a collector or a big fan.
