 This promising
“lapware” program is an all-new version of JumpStart Baby.
Knowledge Adventure has done an excellent job updating the program
with responsive activities and new-fangled options.
An animated
teddy bear is baby’s host for 9 bright activities, all
accessible from the main screen that features Teddy’s
“toys”. Selecting his toy telephone, for example, triggers an
adorable video-telephone game that allows kids to ring animated
characters and watch as they answer the phone. This video-phone is
special not only because children can press an ABC button and
watch an alphabet video, but also because parents can import
photos, audio, and even video of special people in baby’s life.
Thus, children can watch and listen as Mommy’s personalized
message appears on the phone!
Many parents might not be ready for
the Connect-and-Play feature (that allows remote users to play the
game with babies via the Internet) just yet, but it is certainly a
unique option. This is a well thought-out product.
