| All children are artists, and this exciting product helps kids
ages 5-8 explore their creativity, as well as art history,
culture, and styles. Though children 7 and up may find the
JumpStart characters too "childish", kids 5-6 will love
the theme. What sets this title apart from other creativity
programs is its introduction of art education fundamentals. In
addition to the exciting freeform art tool box, it offers some
structured activities. Kids can apply their newfound skills away
from the computer with the program’s printable activities.
Diverse facts are acquired. For example, children compare and
contrast the camouflaged patterns on a moth and the bright and
bold patterns of a poison arrow frog. There’s a refreshing
breadth to the program that will please both parents and children
in equal measure.
Pros:
- Represents great value
- A nice mix of freeform
and structured activities
|
Cons:
- Some kids will find the
program too cute
- Program dialogue is
sometimes annoying
