Freddi
Fish is always willing to help out when there is a problem to
solve. In this, her fifth adventure, Freddi attempts to get to the
bottom of a troublesome situation--at the bottom of the sea. The
mayor wants to open Coral Cove to the public, but a sea creature
is scaring everyone away. Determined to figure out the reason
behind the creature's unrest, Freddi sets out to find some answers and
comes face to face with a whole slew of little problems to solve
along the way.
She meets interesting characters, like Mayor Marlin, who is
forever wrapped up in his appearance (and in the screenshot above,
literally so), and the mellow Nick the Beatnik who runs a shop
called Nick's Knacks.
Children
work through the adventure by collecting items and using them to
solve the various problems in the cove. They keep their eyes open
for purple sea urchins to trade for useful items, and
explore every nook and cranny in order to solve the adventure.
Along the way, children can play a fun game that is similar to
Battleship. They place groups of fish on a grid, and attempt to
uncover their opponent's hidden fish before their opponent finds
their own.
Veterans of Humongous' Junior
Adventures will dive right into this underwater extravaganza, and
will be pleased to discover that this adventure may last a little
longer than previous ones because it is rather challenging.
Newcomers or children under 7 might get frustrated too easily.
Gather up a group of kids on a rainy afternoon and let them at
this exciting program. They'll use their heads and have a great
time.
