While in the original Tripoley game, adults play variations of Poker,
Rummy, and Hearts, Tripoley for Kids incorporates Go Fish!, Snap, and
War into one satisfying game. The three classic games are tied
together through a system of chips and a game board. Sounds too
lengthy? It isn't. Besides the usual jacks, two's, and the like, In
the colorful deck of playing cards there are Stop cards that halt
play. In the case of Snap and War, when a Stop card is turned over,
that portion of the game ends. With Go Fish!, players get to use the
Stop card when they feel like it.
The object of the game is to win as many chips as possible. Chips
are arranged on the game board so that when players, for example,
make a "book" in Go Fish (get 4 of the same card, such as
4 jacks), they win the chips that are found on the jacks space on
the game board.
The game is flexible enough to be played with different rules, if
desired. For example, players might elect to play a longer game by
playing each of the sub-games twice instead of once.
Tripoley for Kids is a great way to introduce kids to three
classic and fun games, if they need the introduction! The cards,
game board, and chips sport kid-friendly colors and designs, and
gameplay is downright fun. The game can be played with 2 to 6
players and makes a fantastic rainy day activity. Kids will turn to
the game time and time again.
